This week’s Tuesday quick recipe is hunters chicken. I like to make this for date night sometimes when it’s just John and I since the kids aren’t that keen on BBQ sauce. I’m sure there are other ways of making this, but I try to do it quickly so this is how I make it.
Chicken breasts x2
Jar of BBQ sauce
Block of cheese
I start by preheating the oven to 200⁰C/400⁰F.
Then I chop a little knob of cheese off the block and placing it on top of each chicken breast. I then wrap about 3 rashers of bacon around each chicken breast and place it into the oven proof dish. I then pour over the BBQ sauce and sprinkle with cheese. Then it’s just a case of cooking in the oven until the chicken is fully cooked (usually 25-30 minutes in a fan assisted oven).
I do realise I could make the BBQ sauce myself, but to save time I always buy it in the jar from the supermarket.
If you have any ideas feel free to comment below, or continue to send us your recipes by email – some of those sound delicious, I must get round to trying a few of them, thank you.
