Bolognese Sauce – Tuesday Quick Recipe

Bolognese Sauce

Ingredients

Vegetable Oil

1 tbsp vegetable oil

Garlic Granules

1 tsp garlic granules

Chopped Onion

1 onion (chopped)

MinceBeef

500g beef mince

Chopped Carrots

2 carrots (chopped)

Tomato Puree

1 tbsp tomato puree

Tinned Tomatoes

1 (400g) tin chopped tomatoes

Beef Stock Cubes

250ml beef stock

Salt

1/2 tsp salt

White Pepper

1/4 tsp pepper

Mixed Herbs

1/4 tsp mixed herbs

Method

Heat the oil in a large saucepan, add the garlic granules and brown the onions and mince.

Add the carrots and and cook until tender.

Stir in the puree, stock, tomatoes and herbs. Cover and simmer for 40 minutes.

I like to make a large amount (double this recipe) and freeze the sauce, then defrost when I want a quick meal idea e.g. spaghetti meatballs, tomato and sausage pasta, etc.
