Chocolate Orange Mousse – Tuesday Quick Recipe

Chocolate Orange Mousse


Egg Yolk

3 eggs (separate the yolk and the egg whites)

Orange juice

approx 75ml orange juice

Dark Chocolate

150g milk or dark chocolate



Mixing Bowl

Microwave safe bowl

Pyrex Dish

Stand mixer





Melt chocolate over low heat in microwave in 30 second bursts. Heating it for longer than 30 seconds can cause it to burn and smoke (trust me I’ve done this a couple of times before!)

Whisk egg whites until stiff.

Beat the egg yolks into the melted chocolate.

Add the orange juice.

Gently fold in egg whites.

Pour into individual glasses and leave in fridge for 2-3 hours
