Valentine’s Traditions – The Presents
Any stores mentioned in this post are a personal choice and this blog is not in any way affiliated with them.

Following on from my Valentine’s Traditions Post last Friday, I thought I’d post an update on the presents.
One gift for each of the senses, sight, sound, touch, taste and smell.
I managed to come in under my budget of £25.00 at just a total of £23.98 as well, which is rare for me.
Obviously my total didn’t include the packaging materials/gift wrapping which are used and the card I obviously purchased separately.
Sight
For sight I went with a baby doll set – after all he’ll be the only one to see me in it.
£10.00 from Primark
Sound
For sound I went with comedy tickets to a show at the end of March – so plenty of time for us to organise a babysitter.
£5.00 from SEE Tickets
Touch
I know he loves the feel of satin as much as I do, so for touch I got him satin boxers.
£5.99 from eBay
Taste
For taste I got him one of his favourite sweets, Toblerone.
£1.00 from Poundland
Smell
For smell I normally get shower gels, deodorants, etc. This year I went with aftershave samples.
There was actually method in this madness, as I got him samples of aftershaves I like, in a secretive approach to finding out which ones he likes, so I can buy him a full size one for his birthday or Christmas.
£1.99 (free samples but had to pay for postage only) from various online perfume shops
This year I went with a navy blue and brown theme, kraft brown bags, boxes, tags and navy tissue paper and ribbon.
How did you spend Valentine’s Day this year? Or perhaps you’re holding off till the weekend? Let us know in the comments below.
